Our Anna Maria Island Friends
The Anna Maria General Store is proud to be part of a wonderful island community with great friends and neighbors who offer services to both Island residents and those of you who come visit on vacation.
So, we share these with you here. If you would like to add your own favorites - please send us a message and we we'll put them up!
Our own group of 7 luxury rental homes across the Island, each has its own unique personality. Even the names are fun; Limefish, Lemonfish, Cherryfish, Chillifish, Plumfish, Honeyfish and Berryfish. All have been designed personally by Mike and Lizzie and most have spectacular waterfront locations. Each one brings together an eclectic mix of styles and designs, luxurious furniture and soft furnishing, some from local artists and flea markets, plus original paintings and crafts from the Islands network of wonderfully talented artists!
Our best friends at Sato Real Estate have been central to what we do on Anna Maria. Owner, Barbara Sato, and her dedicated team including her sons Jason and Josh, Liza, Megan, and Monica, manage all our bookings and our guests while they are here. Sato are a well-deserved Award winning boutique Real Estate agency. If like many Islanders, who discovered Anna Maria on holiday, and you are looking for Real Estate for sale, take a look at their site and contact the Sato team. And, for Pineapplefish bookings, please contact Liza
We love Beach Bums! An awesome team - Lauren, Diane, Ed and Charlie - in a funky, brightly colored store just down the road on Pine Avenue, they will rent anything, but specialize in bikes, kayaks and baby equipment for your vacation home, including cots, highchairs, safety guards and beach toys. They organize kayak eco-tours and power the infamous rentable electric Golf Carts using solar power - now that's progress! They also rent Surrey Bikes (for up to 5 people) and are often called upon to decorate their bikes and cars for island weddings.
Either check out the website, or pop in to their office when you're on the Island and meet the team. The Chamber of Commerce are there to give you as much information as as possible to help you discover Anna Maria and all it has to offer.
Duncan Real Estate, founded in 2001 on Anna Maria Island by Broker Owner Darcie Duncan, has, since its inception, dedicated its activities to promoting Anna Maria Island real estate and all of Manatee County.
Darcie hires experienced professionals living in the area who well understand the important processes involved in helping clients both buy and sell real estate. She maintains personal involvement in the process of her team's real estate transactions. For Darcie, this means hiring TeamDuncan players, people who want and understand a team approach to business. Associates agree to work for the common good with the understanding that a sale for one agent translates to success for all and that in turn, a mishap for one means a poor showing for all.
This is not about shared commissions, but rather a shared team commitment to high levels of service for all of the company's clients, customers and business providers. Any visitor entering the Duncan Real Estate office on historic Pine Street at the north end of the Island is as apt to be greeted by Darcie herself as by any of the associates or property managers on site. You can visit their website here.

Located on the corner of South Bay Blvd and Magnolia, overlooking the Bay, The Waterfront, is steps from the beach and the City Pier (and Two Scoops ice cream palour!). The building is seeped in Anna Maria history, the food is sublime and the wine list is extensive - a carefully crafted selection of 'esoteric and interesting', unusual and handcrafted wines from passionate producers that you may not find elsewhere. Run by our friends Jason and Leah Suzor.
We don't need to say anything more than YUMMY!!! Dips is located on Gulf Drive in the city of Anna Maria and is owned and operated by Vic. Stop in for some of the freshest hand scooped ice cream and treats on the island.
Almost as famous as the General Store, The Sandbar is a great place to kick back and relax, enjoy a tropical cocktail and some fresh seafood. Feel the sand between your toes and watch a stunning Island sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. This place is right on the beach, you wouldn't get any closer unless you were under water! They also have live music and entertainment, so check out their events calendar. And, they've won loads of Awards, check it out! The Sandbar is also a great wedding and reception venue.
Our friends Ginny and Jane's have the only place on the Island where you can relax with a drink, catch up online with wi-fi and then buy the seat and table you were at! Ginny and Jane E's have a fabulous eclectic collection of vintage furniture and fixings, all wrapped up as an internet cafe, serving scrummy gourmet food. You have to try their creme brulee French Toast! And, the Chicken Salad is pretty awesome too! Say Hi from us!
