Hi, I'm Brian Seymour, Store Manager...

I was born and raised outside of Washington DC, in Northern Virginia. I worked in the hotel industry for Marriott Hotels and Resorts for 20 years before moving to Anna Maria Island in 2009. When Mike and Lizzie bought the General Store in February 2010, I couldn't resist the chance to contribute to such a great island institution. It's a meeting point for everybody from the Sheriff to locals, vacationers and other business people - which makes it one of the best places to catch up on Island news. My aim is to provide everyone on Anna Maria with a high quality store that can meet all of your needs. Please stop in and say hello!

I am originally from Michigan. I recently moved to Anna Maria Island and am excited to join the team at the Anna Maria General Store. I work at the General Store most days and just love meeting people. I enjoy walks on the beach and exploring the island on my bike. Stop in and say hi!

Hi, I'm George Wilson

I've worked at the General Store since January 2009. I have also been a full time teacher at a local middleschool for the last 8 years. I live in Holmes Beach - settling on the Island, following a 2 week holiday from my native home of Pittsburgh Pensylvannia. When I'm not working I go boating, fishing and sit on the beach but I love being in the store, where I get to meet great people from all over the world.

I grew up on Anna Maria, attending the local school and playing a little leauge baseball when I was a child. I have worked for many years in the retial and hospitality industry and will always offer you the best help and service that I can when you come into the General Store. When I'm not working at the Store, I love to play bass guitar and play regularly around the Island.

Hi, I'm Sue Peterson

In the Store, my big job is the organization of our huge chiller, but I'm also an ace sandwich maker. Originally from Michigan, I've spent most of my life in Chicago, where my family still lives. I moved to Bradenton 7 years ago, after visiting friends and now love the island - no high rises, a beautiful, tranquil beach and relaxed, friendly people. As well as working in the Store, I am an avid gardener, working around the Island and a member of the famous Moose Lodge near Bridge Street - a great place to be!

the owners of the General Store. We discovered Anna Maria on vacation in 2003, and settled here in 2007. We used to work in the UK running a children's food business ('Organix') but these days we're working on local businesses like the General Store and Beach Bums and on our renewable energy projects and vacation rentals; Pineapplefish.

Soon it will be time to create the next big thing on Pine Avenue - the Anna Maria Historic Green Village - 8,000 square feet of retail space and beautiful gardens, all powered by the sun and ground-source heat pumps. We even recycle the buildings! Click here to find out more, or pop into the store!
